Posponed transplant

Hi my husband has just had his allogenic transplant posponed due to donor related medical issues she may still be able to donate but we no he also has two matches in Germany has anyone on here been posponed and how long will he have to wait I no a clear answer is never that possible but if any one could give any advice it would be greatly received.

  • I'm sorry - no advice but lots of sympathy as I am in a similar position. I was admitted for my treatment then heard that my donor had Covid. I am now waiting for a new date but feeling unsettled. I have been told the wait will be about four weeks, but I suppose if your husband has to have a new donor it may be longer.

    Very best wishes, Jennie

  • OK thank you jennie I'm so sorry your in the same boat I can only imagine how your feeling and I pray you are back in for your treatment soon it is very unsettling isn't it but hopefully it will be worth it ❤️
