I’d be grateful if you feel up to it to if you could let us know a few facts when you get some. Nowadays it’s really not the big c word it used to be. There are lots of different factors that define it. Of course it’ll be difficult to stay calm but worrying won’t help things …knowing that helped me with my breast cancer in 2019.
have you been feeling poorly for a while?
i do wish our little group could get together sometime. I guess it’s that helplessness that comes with the diagnosis. Oh my dear Auds, sending you a big hug and kind thoughts.
i do hope you can feel safe here to download and share. You don’t need to be a hero for us, we’re here to stay, when things get tough and scary too.
sending love to you both, … I hope you’re ok Michelleanne,
Thank you both for your kind, thoughtful messages . I certainly feel as if I have two very dear friends here who will help me though the next month or two .
its cancer of the ileocaecal valve . The surgeon is hopeful that it hasn’t spread . They’ll remove the tumour and the surrounding lymph nodes . I’m not feeling great at the moment - very tired and drained. I think that it’s the anemia caused by the chronic bleeding that is causing this . However, Im trying to keep going as normally as possible although poor Graham is having to help me out .
sorry this text is so much about me.. I hope that you are both fairly well at the moment . Michelle, I really hope that your chest infection has cleared up a bit and I hope that the strong antibiotics have got rid of the stubborn cystitis, Helen.
onwards and upwards for us all. We’re a strong, wee group and will always be there for one another . ❤️❤️
thank you for the info Auds . I hope they’re satisfied with what they find and what they manage to do in the op. That’ll be good to get behind you.
Like Michelleanne says, we’re here for you now. X
I talked to my hubby about your story Auds , and I found myself saying, she’s always so kind and sensible, I think she’s going to deal with it well, relatively speaking. Of course, there’s no telling, but you are a treasure Auds and I do have faith in you.
yes, it’s really challenging having hubby have to help. We’re good at it now but I felt controlled at first which caused so much friction when you just need calm. It helped to remember he’s just trying his best… and … always keep talking, even about the little things, I call them the grit in the shoe-usually just need mentioning and it’s gone.
my cystitis is actually just my Gvhd taking hold when they try reducing my meds which is disappointing, cos I need to reduce.
hows the chest infection Michelleanne, is it lung gvhd?
ill say night night here. I’m having my hair cut tomorrow…. A highlight.
Have to laugh… my hair appointment wasn’t for highlights… I’m not like that… my life is so boring … , I meant going to the hairdressers was a highlight in my week. Only go twice a year.
in on my own tonight… I ought to clean the shower, friends coming for the weekend… but I think I’ll go for a bag of crisps and all creatures great and small… the path of least resistance as they say😘
our thoughts are with you Auds… I’ve got enough crisps for all three, of us, it’s a big bag.
I had a vaccination yesterday and felt ok today… big relief. Corona booster.
