I couldn't stand onions for years, the smell, the taste everything, I once had to run past a row of burger vans at Old Trafford (concert not football!) as they were cooking loads of the things. My transplant birthday is February 22. it's 14 years this time. Every year I celebrate with a bit of fizz and toast my donor whoever he is and my friends and family who got me through. This year I'll be in Burma for it so don't know what or who I'll be toasting with.
