Stories Thread - Real-life stories from Patients & Donors
Hi All,
My name is Dan Yeates and I am one of the Online Community Champions here at Anthony Nolan. We are starting this thread to share some of the incredible stories that our patients and donors have shared with us, so that members (especially new members) will be able to read about the breadth of experiences that people have had and hopefully find something they can relate to.
Stories will be posted as comments in this thread, so please try not to clog the thread up with other comments as it could become difficult for new people to find stories that they care about in the future!
Any questions then please ask.
Dan

First story is about Ian and his recovery from Lymphoma:
"Ian had a stem cell transplant last year, after being diagnosed with blood cancer. Several things helped his recovery and he wanted to share his story to give hope to others going through a similar experience.
I always prided myself on my good health. I tried to eat healthily and kept active. I enjoyed running and playing tennis. Poor health was not a feature in my life. I enjoyed life. I had a good circle of friends and many enjoyable social activities. What could go wrong?"
